Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chathurti is a festival celebrated all over India. We wanted our dear students to understand the traditional way of celebrating it. At G.D Goenka Global school we began our day with an aarti. A pandal was decorated by all of us. Bhajans were sung by our dear ones. After the aarti by panditji we applied tilak to all. Every student was explained the procedure of conducting the whole ceremony right from murti sthapana to "visarjan", and the motive behind the celebration. "Modak" which is a special prasad offered on this occasion was distributed to all present there. The occasion was celebrated with great pomp and festivity and students enjoyed it.
